SA4QE 2018 - Ra McGuire - White Rock, Canada

A blustery but beautiful morning has turned grey, then black, as I watch from my home on the hill. By now the yellow paper I left overlooking the pier will have disintegrated. Appropriate, I say. Part of the bigger picture. Part of the moment beneath the moment. An ephemeral celebration of Russ’s naming day.

SA4QE 2017 - Sandra - Twitter/Facebook/Dundee, United States

I posted my quote as a pair of 3D-generated images to the Russell Hoban Facebook page today, then propagated them to my timeline for my hundred-odd friends. I pretty much live on Facebook, ever since I became paraplegic, and so can't leave pages out in the world any more, but never underestimate the power of a picture! The images here were created using Blender 3D open source software and the instructions in Pilgermann for creating Hidden Lion.

An archive of Russell Hoban's manuscripts as well as his classic word processor have found a home in the legendary US university.

Between September 2002 and March 2005, Russell Hoban contributed to his own discussion forum, The Kraken. In the second of a 2-part feature, Richard Cooper looks back over a selection of his posts.
