Knighthood for Russell Hoban illustrator Quentin Blake

Legendary illustrator Quentin Blake has been recognised with a knighthood in the 2013 New Year's Honours list.

Blake illustrated several of Russell Hoban's children's books, starting with How Tom Beat Captain Najork and his Hired Sportsmen in 1974 as well as Trouble on Thunder Mountain from 1999 and most recently Rosie's Magic Horse, which was published posthumously in 2012.
