Royal Shakespeare Company to produce The Mouse and His Child at Stratford-upon-Avon

Russell Hoban's 1968 classic The Mouse and His Child is to receive a theatrical adaptation by the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon, UK.

The news comes as part of a report in the Guardian today about the future of the RSC's home in London as artistic director Michael Boyd prepares to move on.

"Boyd was speaking at the launch of next winter's RSC programme," runs the report. "One of the highlights will be a new family production based on Russell Hoban children's book The Mouse and his Child. It follows a good run of family shows by the RSC, not least Matilda the Musical which is now in the West End and is within weeks of beginning to generate profits for the company."

UPDATE: Tickets are now available for the production, which has been adapted by Tamsin Oglesby and runs from 17 November 2012 - 12 January 2013.
